Lowest spin rate of all Callaway Drivers: XR16 Sub Zero

If you want to lower spin, Callaway has got the answer for you:

Callaway XR 16 Sub Zero Driver

Brandon Grace has won the RBC this year using this driver.

From all the golf equipment companies, we have all learned through their research and development that there is an idea launch angle and spin rate that will maximize the distance on your driver.  When golfers get fitted for a driver, it is important for the fitter to understand that person’s desired ball flight.  With that information and the use of launch monitors that gives you accurate launch angle and spin rate, the fitter can provide you information as to how to maximize distance.

For stronger players, lowering spin rate is the most challenging.  Some may use a extra, extra stiff shaft or tip and minimize shaft impact on spin rate.  Some may lower the loft to prevent the ball from rolling up the face.  But here is Callaway’s solution.

CG located under the neutral axis of the head reduces spin.  The 2 weights on the sole are interchangeable.  If you put the heavy weight in front, it produces lower spin with flatter trajectory.

This driver is not necessarily lower ball flight but definitely lowers spin.
