Mizuno’s new JPX 900 Tour irons

Yesterday GolfWRX gave us an inside look at the JPX 900 Tour irons from Mizuno that will be launching next month. It appears as if they’re mixing their MP- and JPX- lines up a bit. Ever present is the heralded 1025E grain flow forged mild carbon steel. The new 900 Tour boasts a thinner sole and smaller overall profile than the MP-25 while being slightly more forgiving. That’s a huge claim! The wonderful feeling/sounding MP-64 was used as a model for subjective aspects of the club and the acoustics were dialed in using the company’s Harmonic Impact Technology (HIT) system. The soles of the clubs feature the same geometries found in MP- irons. The stock shaft for the JPX 900 Tours is the Dynamic Gold AMT. As always, Mizuno has no up-charges for custom shafts or grips (even UST Recoils!). An 8 piece set of the irons can be had for $1,199.99. This is going to be an exciting launch for Mizuno.
