2017 TaylorMade Prototype irons

TaylorMade prototype irons are being tested this week at the RSM Classic to possibly replace the PSi and PSi Tour irons. There appear to be two models: one with a thicker sole and larger, lower muscle behind the sweet spot and then one with a thinner sole and topline as well as a badge marked “tungsten” near the toe. Tungsten is nothing new and has been used in irons for years to move the center of gravity in the clubhead. Here are a few pictures (courtesy of GolfWRX) from the RSM Classic:
