Tips from the Pros - Face is Square
Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008 - 3:15 pm by CindyM
For a straight golf shot, one must start with a straight or SQUARE club face: face pointing to the intended target. Often times golfers do not know what “square to the target” looks like.
The vertical lines on the club face should be parallel to the intended target line. To see this you can use stripes on a range ball: aim the lines toward where you want the ball to go and place the club face so that the vertical lines are parallel to the stripes on the ball.

You can also tape a tee to the face of the club face and point to the tee to the target.

According to my golf friends, I consistantly align the leading edge to the right. I always think(in my mind) that I am aligned correctly, however I suffer from a push. My golf swing is good, and the only way that I seem to align correctly on the course is to either have someone align each shot, or to stand behind the club during the round(and in the fairway) and see if aligned. Any comments would be appreciated.
