  • To some this may look like a hybrid, but in reality these are max game improvement irons. With a glance most golfers will rule them out, but these high flying soft landing are really fun clubs to hit. With distances comparable to the infamous M2 irons, Callaway really provided a nice game improvement option while still not sacrificing playability. In our testing the Big Bertha irons, even though they have a generous amount of offset, were still able to be worked Left or Right, while retaining its high shot trajectory. Hitting lower shots especially fades were an issue due to the […]

  • If you’d been around golf for awhile then you’d probably remember the old Ben Hogans, Vip’s, and Macgreggors, but what made those classic clubs feel so good when you hit them well? They were all hand worked steel, think of the ancient samurai swords of old, master sword crafters would pound steel to shape, and that’s the way our golf clubs used to be made, with precision, and by the hand of a master club builder. Now a days as our game has grown, so has the technology. From clubheads to shafts, right down to the manufacturing processes. Casting has made […]

  • Everyone generally knows what shaft stiffness they play, whether it be XStiff, Stiff, Regular, Amateur, Ladies, ETC. But how many know the gram weighting of their shafts and why they are playing that shaft at that weight? From my own fitting experience not many know why they are playing at the weight they are. Most of the time I hear ‘I’ve only played s3oo,’ or ‘I don’t know what shaft weight I have.’ This is an issue. Shaft weight has an effect on 1. your body over the course of a round. 2. the bend profile if it is not being loaded properly. 3. […]

  • The Srixon z965, no other words to describe this beautifully engineered blade other than buttery. Simply astounding, and an improvement over the popular z945, which was widely successful, the z965 does better in what the z945 lacked. Srixon improved the look of the head by removing the somewhat awkward stripe of darker chrome and replaced it with a more hidden satin finish. Also Srixon is now producing these head at another forging house, we are not allowed to state which, but it is one of the finest on the planet, if not the finest. Srixon also added addition no upcharge […]

  • Here is a shot of the new Callaway Great Big Bertha Epic driver that was leaked today. It appears to have the weight track system similar to the current Great Big Bertha and a paint color similar to the Razr Fit Extreme. There’s something called “Jailbreak Technology” on the sole of the driver, near the face. Our sources tell us that there are two bars behind the face (kind of like bars on a jail cell) that connect the crown and sole of the driver and allow more trampoline effect in the sweet spot. The driver is scheduled to be […]

  • Irons Mizuno’s JPX line of clubs are designed to be a bit more forgiving and higher launching than their MP line of clubs. The newest generation, JPX-900, is another step forward in terms of forgiveness, ball speed and launch. The technicians at Mizuno aren’t afraid of experimenting with metallurgical properties or tweaking the manufacturing process so that the technology they create actually produces a performance advantage. As far as the irons go, the -900 Tours and -900 Forged both are made from 1025 grain flow forged steel but the -900 Forged has a pinch of Boron added to the steel. […]

We know that the G driver is one of the best drivers on the market right now, so if you’re a Ping fan, pink […]
