  • Patton Kizzire is the Sony Open winner for 2018. Check out what’s in his Titleist bag! The one thing to take away is how he splits his irons up. Many good players can benefit from a combo set up like this. Driver: 917 D3 (10.5) Fairway Wood: 917 F2 (16.5)  Hybrid: 913 H2 (19) Irons: 718 T-MB (4), 718 CB (5-6), 718 MB (7-9) Wedges: Vokey Design SM7 (Coming Soon) … and of course a Scotty Cameron putter that no one else can get 😉 We are proud to be able to customize Titleist’s 718 irons however you want! • It’s 2018 and Jason Dufner has no limitations on what clubs he can use. Formerly a Titleist club ambassador, the PGA Champion is now only required to wear FootJoy shoes, Titleist gloves, and use a ProV ball. This weekend in Kapalua Dufner was spotted testing the new 2018 TaylorMade M4 driver, however during the actual event he put his trusty Titleist 917 D2 back in the bag. Another drastic change were his irons. Dufner played Mizuno JPX-900 Tour irons for the whole tournament. We have seen a lot of PGA professionals (Brooks Koepka, Chris Kirk, Paul Casey) turn to Mizuno […]

  • World No. 1 Dustin Johnson starts the new year with a win at the 2018 Sentry Tournament of Champions. Golf Channel analysts claimed that the reason for his dominance this week was his driver. During the third and final round, DJ drove the 12th hole which was measured at 420 yards!!! That is what you call some Straight Distance… actually that’s what TaylorMade is calling it too.   The TaylorMade M4 will be replacing the 2017 M2 series. Being the more forgiving model, the M4 introduces us with Hammerhead technology. This feature is expected to make the off-center hits feel […]

This week there are 7 Speeder Evolutions and 2 ATMOS Tour Spec shafts in play. Of those 2 ATMOS TS in play, one is new in the bag for a player that switched out of our PRO Tour Spec. • It’s almost 2018 and we have seen a lot of innovation from companies like Callaway, TaylorMade, and Titleist. Carbon fiber crowns… titanium bars behind a face… and ballistic distance irons. With companies like those it can be hard to select who makes the best equipment. Golf club manufacturers always boast who provides the most distance and most forgiveness, but the truth is they are all good. A wise man once told me, “Those engineers aren’t getting paid big bucks to design terrible clubs.” I thought about that, and realized he was right. All the club manufacturers have spent countless time […]

  • Winning this week along side his partner Sean O’Hair, Steve Stricker is known for his putting stroke, and no wrist swing. A few years back, Tiger Woods was seen getting a lesson from Stricker on the practice green. When the clutchest putter asks someone from advice, that says a lot. Something to note about Steve’s putting game is that he has great tempo. His preshot routine is consistent, and his stroke is “one… two… go…”. Another thing to look at is how Steve has the heel of the putter above the ground. He taps the toe of his putter twice […]

  • Hint: It is not the Bridgestone B330S. The golf ball is the most important equipment in your bag. The ball is the one variable during your round that you can keep constant. Whether you need more distance or more green-side spin, there is a ball that will improve your game. I did not believe that a ball could lower my scores, but after switching from the Srixon Z-Star to the ProV1 I was able to keep my ball in play off the tee while still getting the spin that I need in my pitch shots. If you have been watching […]

On the par-71 course, Spieth’s rounds were 70 – 71 – 70 – 67 placing him five strokes behind the winner (8th), Cameron Davis. • Lately, Sergio Garcia has been photographed using Callaway golf equipment. After winning his first major event with TaylorMade products, it makes many question this drastic equipment change. I personally think it has to do with his value going up since the Masters win, and TaylorMade not paying out. However, there are many tour pros that do not have equipment contracts (Brooks Koepka, Chris Kirk, etc.) and play what works best for them. If Sergio’s performance starts to decline, I would hate to have blamed it on an equipment change. Check out these pictures of Sergio playing Callaway… GBB Epic Driver […]

He games the Miura blades from 5 through pitching wedge, uses the CB-1008 in the 4 iron, and ICL-601 for a driving iron. I have been waiting for a day like […]
