And the Gods of the North looked down with pride on the world they had created. Thus might Snorri Sturluson of saga fame have described Miklagard Golf Park. Situated about 20 minutes north of Oslo, close to Gardermoen International Airport, the course was officially opened on 8 June 2002 with the intention of being among the worlds best courses according to quality, design and service. Many top European Tour golfers have played Miklagard, including Ian Wosnam, Tony Johnstone and Henrik Bjrnstad. The challenging nature of this championship course certainly impressed the likes of Trevor Immelmann and Robert Karlsson, who described the greens as the best they had ever played on. This is how world renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. describes it: This breathtaking 6707 metre championship course is set in a beautiful farming landscape, its grasses burnished with northern summer sun and glistening in the champagne snow of winter. This is a big, brash course, as impressive as its Norwegian Viking history. It takes fierce, strong men to match its hilly terrain and beautiful Nordic ladies to charm its lake lined and flower laden spring. We are proud to
welcome Miklagard into our worldwide family of golf courses.
From the turf-roofed clubhouse to the Norse appellative of the holes, this course is legendary through and through!
