  • Honma…… not the most talked about golf brand, but one that should be considered when looking for a new set of irons. Honma is a golf company that is from Japan. Honma’s latest iron line are the TW737 series. They offer four different versions of the irons: the P, V, Vs, and Vn. At Fairway Golf USA, we think that the P and Vn are the most popular […]

Based off of the performance from our Fairway Golf customers, here are the high performance clubs we recommend. DRIVERS 1st: TaylorMade 2017 M2 Driver Pros: The center of gravity on these drivers are lower than any other driver out there. Lower CG translates to higher launch and less spin which is the recipe to longer drives. More forgiving than the M1. Most players are averaging a 5 yard increase in distance, which is why we are placing this driver in […]

Both the Z565 & Z765 drivers have lighter crowns that weigh 4 grams less than the previous model. Also new Power Wave Sole technology allows the whole sole to flex which will result in higher balls speeds. You will notice that the face wraps around the crown, giving the drivers a larger sweet spot. The Z series fairway woods and hybrids have the same technology as the drivers, and more. […]

  • There are two types of irons out there: Forged and cast. The main difference is the way that they are made. Forged irons are made by starting with a solid piece of metal, and stamping them into the intended loft and shape. On the other hand, the creation of cast irons start with molten metal, and poured into a pre-made mold. Now your probably asking why this even matters. A lot of it has to do with performance and feel. Forged irons such as, Miura irons, are notorious for having the softest feel because of the way they are forged. […]

With distances comparable to the infamous M2 irons, Callaway really provided a nice game improvement option while still not sacrificing playability. In our testing the Big Bertha irons, even though they have a generous amount of offset, were still able to be worked Left or Right, while retaining its high shot trajectory. Hitting lower shots especially fades were an issue due to the […]

But how many know the gram weighting of their shafts and why they are playing that shaft at that weight? From my own fitting experience not many know why they are playing at the weight they are. Most of the time I hear ‘I’ve only played s3oo,’ or ‘I don’t know what shaft weight I have.’ This is an issue. Shaft weight has an effect on 1. your body over the course of a round. 2. the bend profile if it is not being loaded properly. 3. […]

  • DJ put quite a few miles on his old Tour Preferred MB‘s but those irons have now been laid to rest. Dustin is now gaming a new set of PSi Tour irons with  True Temper’s Dynamic Gold X100 shafts. The PSi Tour irons should offer Dustin a bit more forgiveness and distance. With Dustin hitting these clubs so long, I would not be surprised to see him adding another wedge to his bag to better control the distance gaps.
